What are our STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS?
In the coming five years, AGE Myanmar aims to:
- Expand and strengthen the network of Inclusive Self-Help Groups across Myanmar
- Advocate for and pilot social protection at community and higher levels for older people, people with disabilities, and vulnerable populations
- Provide humanitarian assistance to at-risk households through local actors and promote disaster preparedness
- Promote healthy ageing by working with ISHGs to deliver community-level health interventions and home care
- Advocate for the inclusion of older people and persons with disabilities in national development and raise their voices
- Promote a wider network of ageing-related organisations in Myanmar
- Offer training, consultancies, and services related to older people through a social enterprise approach
- Position AGE Myanmar as a technical hub for ageing and older people in Myanmar
